Spoon provides the gateway for developers to import ABIs of smart contracts and quickly build a dApp UI. It is also the way to demo any dApp on any chain with less gas fee. Arbitrum, one of the chains that Spoon supports now, is a suite of fast, low cost, and secure, Ethereum scaling solutions by @OffchainLabs
Arbitrum Explained
Arbitrum is a next-generation layer-2 for Ethereum.
Arbitrum is built by Offchain Labs, a world-class team of researchers, engineers, and Ethereum enthusiasts. It is a suite of Ethereum scaling solutions that enables high-throughput, low cost smart contracts while remaining trustlessly secure.
Arbitrum has 3 modes:
-
AnyTrust Channels
-
AnyTrust Sidechains
-
Arbitrum Rollup
Arbitrum is an Optimistic Rollup solution, which means that state changes are published with minimal inspection by letting a validator post a rollup block which is claimed as correct, and then giving everyone else a chance to challenge that claim, which allows for faster transaction speeds. Blocks are then rolled up to the main Ethereum chain.
If there are fraudulent transactions posted, then the bad actors are punished and the state is rolled back.
Arbitrum One is the name of the public mainnet for Arbitrum.
Arbitrum One is live since 1 Sept 2021 where the team (Offchain Labs) maintains the ability to do performance and feature upgrades or pause the system if necessary.
With over 300+ dApps deployed & over $3 billion in TVL, Arbitrum is by far the largest rollup ecosystem.
